John: For those who are still getting errors when trying to register cdonts.dll, if your OS is 64-bit, you have to copy cdonts.dll into C:\Windows\SysWOW64 instead of C:\Windows\System32, and then run "regsvr32 cdonts.dll" from inside that folder. admin: an htaccess file is usually for sites hosted on Apache. The file equivalent the the htaccess in IIS is the web.config file. If you are editing an htaccess file for a site hosted on IIS, then that is most probably the root cause of your issue.
